Saint Joseph Catholic High School Hosts Habitat for Humanity Adult Prom

Join Habitat for Humanity of Weber and Davis Counties
Fundraising Event

Ogden, UT (January 7th, 2019) — Habitat for Humanity of Weber and Davis Counties (HabitatWD) collaborated with the students at Saint Joseph Catholic High School for ideas on an Adult Prom fundraising event. While HabitatWD knew they wanted an Adult Prom for the community, they looked to the local Catholic high school to give the students an opportunity to have a community service project and to come up with the theme.

The upcoming Adult Prom is hosted at the Saint Joseph Catholic High School located at 1790 Lake Street, Ogden, UT. This event is on February 9th from 7PM to 10PM. The students decided that the theme would be “Under The Sea”, since the colors were similar to the ones that represent HabitatWD. The high school students and faculty developed the flyers and invitations for the nonprofit, and will be providing the decorations for the event. The nonprofit organization plans on having snacks and non-alcoholic drinks at the event. In addition to this, there will be dancing and fun for the attendees. There will be opportunity drawings, including a cruise, ticket vouchers from Hogle Zoo, Ballet West, and Deer Valley, and much more.

“I’ve heard from Kate Ketner, from our Resource Development department, that the people she has spoken to about this event are incredibly interested,” the Habitat Marketing Director stated. “This event should be a lot of fun and should allow all those who have missed their own prom during high school to come and enjoy it now.”

Tickets are $25 for an individual or $50 for each couple. The proceeds from this event are benefiting the Guzman family, a single mother with six children, and their Habitat Home that is being built on 450 15th Street, Ogden, UT 84404. HabitatWD will also be introducing the three other families that are selected for a Habitat Home, including the Hadfield-Carey family, the Rodriguez family, and the Norager family. Tickets can be found on habitatwd.org.
