What We Build

“We build more than a house.
Together we can make a difference.”

Habitat for Humanity of Weber and Davis Counties focuses on building homes for families in need.  Our Habitat homes are simple, decent, and safe. Whenever possible, we build these homes energy-efficient and sustainable.  In Weber and Davis Counties, Habitat homes are built when affordable lots become available. Dedicated volunteers come together to build the homes.

Our Habitat families pay a no-interest loan at affordable monthly payments. These payments go back towards another Habitat home, in addition to helping another family in the future. Habitat for Humanity lends no-profit, no-interest mortgage loans to its selected families. Selected families also put in “sweat equity” hours towards their new Habitat home. Our selected families go through budgeting classes and become involved with the community. This program is a “hand up” not a “hand out”.

If you are looking for a way to own a Habitat Home, please click here. Firstly, you must be qualified in order to be selected for a Habitat home. There is an application process. While we strive to help everyone who needs help in Weber and Davis Counties, only a few families per year are selected.

Let’s make a difference
in the community by
building more homes and hope.

In every Habitat home, you find the work and dedication of so many people, all working with a common goal: helping another family build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.”
